The Games and Tech: We make games with deep mechanics that immerse players for hundreds of hours. Our games blend elements of multiple genres and have strong multiplayer components. We want our games to tell personal stories that people share. We write our own technology (The Creator Engine) and for most of our games, we ship level editing and modding tools. QA Specialist

As a QA Specialist at Triumph, you will help us deliver the best possible games by testing our strategy titles in various stages of development. You work closely with the development team and analyse every aspect of the game in a tight-knit, fun environment.

Testing is not the only thing you'll do. You support developers by providing feedback on game design and the general fun factor of the game. This means you need to have good interpersonal skills, to be able to nurture a relationship with the developers and communicate feedback that is constructive and relevant. You'll be an integral part of the development team.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute tests and document results according to specifications
  • Closely collaborate with management to identify and meet test priorities
  • Verify milestone deliverables and technical certification requirements.
  • Provide constructive feedback related to design, fun-factor, etc.
  • Generating risk assessments - evaluating issues and identifying risks for projects
  • Maintain test documentation
Requirements:
  • You are a true gamer, with passion for the strategy game genre.
  • A minimum of 2 year experience in game QA testing.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English.
  • Experience with bug reporting tools.
  • Experience setting up test plans and executing them.
  • Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.

Engine Programmer

Triumph Studios is looking to hire an Engine Programmer to work on Triumph's proprietary technology in tight-knit and creative environment. For the person with the right skills and mindset we can offer a great opportunity to work with skilled colleagues and have fun.

You will collaboratee with other programmers to bring our technology to new platforms and new heights of performance. Additionally, your work will improve usability of the tools and engine for the development team and end-users.

Responsibilities:
  • Adapting codebase to run on additional platforms.
  • Analyzing and fixing typical game engine issues such as: graphical performance, memory usage and load times.
  • Improving engine components.
  • Support the development team with pipeline improvements and (modding) tools.
  • Platform Compliance.
Required Qualifications:
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience developing software in C++, at least two of those in the games industry.
  • Have developed various core game engine systems before e.g. graphics, tools, I/O, networking, memory management.
  • You are comfortable in English, both written and spoken.

UI/Gameplay Programmer

Triumph Studios is looking to hire an UI/Gameplay Programmer to work on Triumph's upcoming strategy games in tight-knit, playful and exciting environment. For the person with the right skills and mindset we can offer a great opportunity to work with skilled colleagues and have fun.

You use your knowledge of good UI design and programming skills to create intuitive, informative interfaces for our strategy games. You'll collaboratee with other gameplay programmers, designers and artists to bring interfaces to new platforms, and new levels of user-friendliness.

Associate Producer

Triumph Studios is looking to hire an Associate Producer to work on Triumph's upcoming strategy games in tight-knit, playful and exciting environment.

You'll work closely with management, QA, the development team and staff from our parent company Paradox interactive to plan and track progress of milestones at all stages of development. The ultimate goal is ensuring timely delivery of the highest quality game possible. Additionally, you're a fan liaison and support developers so they have all the things necessary to do their work. Internship Positions

Triumph Studios offers a select number of students that aspire to become game developers a chance to join the team and gain industry experience first-hand.

Requirements:
  • Provide an extensive portfolio, impress us with your work!
  • You are a hardcore gamer. People who have worked on game mods or hobby projects have an advantage.
  • Internships have a minimum duration of 5 months (you will receive an internship payment)
  • Interns must be residents of the EU and be registered as students at a college or university.
Required intern starting skills and portfolio per specialization:
  • Strategy Game Design Internship: We're looking an intern to join our design team and assist on a variety of design projects; including game and level design. Provide video and documentation of games, levels or mods you designed and built. Good English writing skills and affinity with Triumph's game portfolio (Strategy/RPG) are of importance.
  • C++ Gameplay Programming Internship: We're looking for a gameplay programmer intern to join our coding team to assist with a number of possible gameplay projects. If you have solid knowledge of (object oriented) programming in C++, please contact us.
  • Concept Art / Illustration Internship (Fantasy): We're looking for a 2D art intern to assist with the creation of high detail characters and environment illustrations. You have strong traditional drawing skills including anatomy and color use and have excellent detailing skills. Affinity with fantasy/sci-fi art plus armor and weapons design is a great advantage. Software skills: Photoshop and/or Painter.
  • 3D Art Internship: We're looking for 3D character or environment art interns to assist with the development of fantasy themed assets for use in a modern 3D engine. If you have affinity with fantasy/scifi art, have strong modeling skills and know your way around Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush/Mudbox, please contact us.
  • 3D Animation Internship: We're looking for a 3D animator intern to assist in the animation of characters. If you can showcase fluidly animating character clips, have a base understanding of rigging and know your way around Maya please contact us. Knowledge of medieval combat is a plus.
